Welcome Project LIFE participants!
Hello and welcome to each of you participating in Project LIFE: Literacy Is For Everyone. I have set up this wiki to do several things. First, you will find information regarding how to use a Wiki. You will also post your monthly lesson plan ideas on this site. Most of this wiki, however, will be devoted to our learning. As we read through different resources, pages will be added for you to contribute your thoughts, ideas and comments.
We will be building on each other's work, and as we do so, you will be able to add and edit content. You will be able to add links and upload documents and even video to this site. Throughout this project, you will be able to access all the work you and your colleagues are doing. By sharing our ideas in an electronic forum like this, we help one another by building on our own strengths and borrowing from the strengths of others.
"You can't tell children how to read; we simply have to show them." Donald Graves
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ALSO CREATE NEW PAGES ON A TOPIC OF INTEREST AND ADD THEM TO THIS SITE.
NOTE:
- Before proceeding further, you might want to visit Help for some basic directions and tips.
- If you click on the SideBar command to the top right of this page, you can view and access all pages that have been created.
- You may also click at the bottom of this page on Show all pages to access each different page.
- This wiki is new and we will all be learning together. Do not worry about things going awry as we can always fix them with an edit. The wiki is really similar to using WORD in many regards.
- When adding new content, be sure to click Save.
- There is also a page called SANDBOX where you can go play and experiment with the wiki.
- If you have questions, or feel unsure of how to access or edit content, please email me: ahill@esu1.org
- Have fun!
